One woman is fed up with her mother-in-law. After feeling disrespected too many times, the woman decided she wouldn't be invited to her young son's Christmas concert.

When the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra and Montgomery Chorale come together Dec. 18 for this year's Joyce Caddell Holiday Pops concert, the music will be full of nostalgia, with a variety that'll have something for everybody.

The change has been driven by technology. In the pre-streaming era, consumers would play Christmas music through CDs and records or catch tunes on the radio during the winter months. But the rise of Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services opened the floodgates by offering large libraries of songs on demand.
